What is Minerva?
Minerva turns whatever you say into tasks, events, and notes, right in the apps you already use. You record a voice memo — on your watch, your phone, or your computer — and Minerva turns it into real, filed items: tasks on your task list, events on your calendar, notes in your notes app. No typing, no sorting, no "I'll organize that later."
Who is it for?
People who are busy, think out loud, and already have systems for tasks, calendar, and notes — but whose best thoughts keep escaping because stopping to type them up never happens. If you already use voice memos and wish they turned into action instead of piling up, Minerva is for you.
Do I have to learn commands or special phrasing?
No. Talk (or ramble) the way you naturally would. One memo can wander through a task, a meeting, and a stray idea — Minerva sorts it out.
Does Minerva replace my task, calendar, and notes apps?
No — that's the point. Minerva works with the tools you already use rather than asking you to move your life into a new one. It's the missing on-ramp into your existing systems, not a replacement for them.
Can Minerva process photos of handwritten notes or documents?
No. Minerva is a voice product — it processes audio memos only. That focus is a deliberate choice, not a gap on a roadmap.
How it works
How do I record a memo?
From the Minerva app on your Apple Watch or iPhone (both in founder testing today), or from a computer, by letting any recording land in your synced notes folder. Either way, the recording uploads automatically and Minerva takes it from there.
What happens after I record a memo?
Minerva transcribes it, reads it, figures out what's inside — tasks, calendar events, notes — and files each one where it belongs. Today that means tasks go to Google Tasks, events to Google Calendar, and notes to Notion. Everything shows up where you already look for it.
What if one memo has several things in it?
That's normal, and Minerva is built for it. A single rambling memo can produce a task, an event, and a note — each one is pulled out and filed separately.
What if Minerva isn't sure about something?
It asks you instead of guessing — and only when it genuinely needs to. If a memo says "remind me Thursday" with no time, or mentions a name it can't place, Minerva sends you a plain-language question you can answer whenever suits you, on whichever device is closest — your phone, your watch, or your Mac. Your answer syncs everywhere and is applied to the item within seconds. And when you do say a time, Minerva reads it the way a person would: "dinner at 5" means 5 PM, not 5 AM. But it never invents a time you didn't say.
Does Minerva learn how I personally talk?
Yes. A one-time "getting to know you" phase — about twenty short questions, answered on your own time from any of your devices — teaches Minerva your personal phrasing and filing style: where your kind of item belongs, whether a spoken time should be locked in, and what you mean by words like "morning." None of it ever holds up a real item.
How fast is it?
Processing typically lands within seconds of your recording uploading — in live use, about half a minute from tapping "stop" to the item sitting on your list.
What happens to my notes' wording?
Notes keep your own first-person words — your thinking is preserved, not flattened into someone else's summary. Tasks and events are written as clean summaries, because that's what's actually useful on a list.
Can I choose where my tasks, events, and notes go?
Yes. Destinations are settings, not hard-wired choices. Today's standard path is Google Tasks, Google Calendar, and Notion, and support for additional destinations — including Todoist, Apple's own apps, and Obsidian — is already built.
Platforms
What devices does Minerva work on?
Today: a Mac menu-bar app is live and in daily founder use, and native iPhone and Apple Watch recorder apps are built and in founder testing. The processing runs in the cloud, so it works even when your computer is asleep or off.
Does it work when my computer is off?
Yes. Recording happens on your devices, but the processing runs in the cloud — your memo is transcribed, sorted, and filed whether or not your computer is awake.
Will there be an Android, Windows, or browser version?
That's the plan for the public product, but none of them are built yet. Joining the waitlist is the best way to hear when platforms open up.
Can I use Minerva today?
Not yet — Minerva is pre-public and signup is closed while it's being finished and hardened. Join the waitlist at talktominerva.com and we'll let you know the moment it's available.
Privacy
What happens to my recordings?
Your recording is processed to create a transcript and the items that come out of it — the tasks, events, and notes that land in your apps. Recordings live in your own cloud storage (Google Drive today), and your notes keep your own words. Minerva asks you questions when it needs context rather than quietly doing things with your data that you didn't expect.
Is my audio or data used to train AI models?
No. Minerva uses AI services to transcribe your recordings and to work out the tasks, events, and notes inside them, and it uses those services under business API terms that do not use customer data for training. Nothing you say to Minerva trains anyone's AI models — not ours, not our providers'.
Do I need a password?
No. Signing in uses your existing Google or Apple identity — Minerva never asks you to create or store a password with us. (Account sign-in is part of the app in founder testing today; it becomes available to everyone at launch.)
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Deleting your account removes the copies Minerva keeps. The things that live in your accounts stay put and untouched — your recordings and transcripts in your own Google Drive, your notes in Notion, and the tasks and events already on your lists. Minerva deletes what Minerva holds; it never reaches into your accounts to erase your things. (Account management is part of the app in founder testing today; it becomes available to everyone at launch.)
